Light Up Your Celebrations with Wedding Candles

The candle light of wedding candles is not only a welcome presence at any wedding celebration but they also make good presents. Candles center pieces celebrating the occasion are also usually set out on the tables of the guests at dinner.

There are all kinds of wedding candles available on the market and they can be purchased in a variety of scents, shapes and sizes. Made to order wedding candles can be personalized with verses, the names of the happy couple and the wedding date. Some wedding candles can be as ornate as the wedding cake and feature such decorative motifs as wedding rings, crosses, doves, hearts, flowers and other romantic symbols molded into the candle wax. These ornate candles are usually pillar candles and are square, oval, octagonal, round or pyramidal in shape.

Usually a special set of wedding candles, called unity candles are used as a candle centerpiece for the honeymooners' table. Unity sets often feature a central pillar candle along with two matching taper candles. The idea is that every year, on the couple's anniversary, the unity candles centerpiece is taken out of storage and replaced with new pillar and taper candles.

Often wedding candles are also given away as party favors for guests. Small jar candles, votive candles or gel candles, that are somehow marked to commemorate the occasion are a common way to thank your guests.
