How to make soy candles

follow a recipe. The ingredients are soy wax, scent or fragrance
and wick. As soy candles are not freestanding, you will also need

Soy candles are made of soybean and other natural vegetable waxes

a container that you want to use for your candle.
This can be an apothecary jar or some other kind of glass or clay
vessel. Make sure you soy wax is heated to 125°F in
a double boiler. Add your fragrance and dye. You can pour soy wax
into your jars at temperatures as low as 100° F if the wax is
constantly stirred up until the moment it is poured into the jars.
Lower pour temperatures help to eliminate possible frosting as well
as produce a smoother creamy finish. Add your candle wicks.
When learning how to make soy candles it is important to remember
that they need plenty of time to cool down and
harden after the wax is poured Cooling too quickly or too slowly
can cause the wax to collapse in jar or give the top of it a frosted
look. Large jars and tall thin jars of soy wax such take a longer
time to cool down. Within 24 hours you will be basking in your home
made candle light and bragging to the neighbors that you just learned
